Almost noon and here we are....

I wish I could say that she is improving and that everything is progressing like we would like it to. I wish the doctor's could give us a definite and say that in a few days, this will all be okay. That she'll be off life support by X day and that everything is going to be just fine. At this point we hear the same things; she's stable and that's all they can tell us.

As a family we are frustrated, that we can't have definite answers, but are grateful that she is at least stable. The scripture Proverbs 3:5-6 keeps running through my mind.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path."

We are all tired; emotionally, physically, and mentally. We hear the prayers that are given on behalf of Carolyn and our family and are humbled by the gratitude that has been bestowed on our family. They tell us that Carolyn can't hear us, but we disagree. We know she desperately wants to be able to converse with us.

Please continue to post your comments and thoughts we believe it is imperative in helping her come back to us. They are uplifting to us and keep us going. We love you all and again are so thankful for all of the love and support that we are getting all over the world.

~Ashley

  7. We are all checking this regularly to see how she is doing, we only knew her a short time while she served in Carlisle on her mission, but she made a great impact on our lives especially in the lives of my daughters, she helped them find testimonies and loved them as her sisters, she was a great example while she served here and we missed her when she left. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I remember when she broke her foot on her mission but it never stopped her, she has great determination and a huge testimony, lets pray these things help her pull through. The world needs her smile. Love the Burrows Family

  8. Thank you Ashley, for all of the updates. I can't imagine the frustration as you are right there watching it all unfold and the lost feeling. I know we all feel lost wondering too but it's different there, I am sure. Just know the Lord does not give us anymore then we can handle. He is holding you all so close right now. Stay strong as I know you all are.

  9. Carolyn was a great friend to me in high school. I think it's been said so far, but I'll echo it: Carolyn is one of the most stubborn, determined people I've ever known. Texas girl through and through. We're all thinking about you Carolyn.

  10. I am sure she can hear you! And she know she is a loved girl and not alone. I think that will help her through this! Can you please send my love to your parents? And let them know they are both in my thoughts.

  11. She can hear you, she has to. Keep talking to her and praying with her. Remember, where two or more are gathered He is there.

  12. Hey Carolyn, hang in there! We are thinking of you and praying and fasting for you.

To Val, Nancy, and all the siblings (& my cousins) please take care of yourselves as much as you are taking care of Carolyn. You will all need your health and strength to continue your vigil. So please know our prayers and fasts are as much for Carolyn as they are for you. Sure love ya!

  13. I don't think there is anyone in this ward who has not had their lives touched - for the better - for having known this wonderful being known as Carolyn Jerusha Judd. My love and prayers are with you.

  14. Hello Jerusha Family, Hi Carolyn...
My heart is with you. I really hope you can hear them talking to you, and about you, with some possible prospect husband. I laughed so hard with the match making posts... I cried too, reading Karen's post about Alma verses. I have faith, but the heart melting sense of a family shared faith is new for me. I will pray for all of you.
I am waiting to read your own writing!
